The Phire Story

The Need
Phire was conceived in early 2003 and officially established as a corporation in 2005 by a team of ERP
implementation experts to provide affordable, best-in-class solutions for managing enterprise applications.  
Leveraging a collective 20 years of software development and delivery experience, the founders realized that the
only thing constant in large ERP implementations was Change.

Due to the extreme complexities of large ERP systems, we saw first hand the need for an application that can
support Project Management activities (document management, issues tracking), the Development Activities
(code version control, object locking, object recovery), and handle Change Request Tracking (approvals,
testing, and other controls).  At the same time, the solution needed to be scalable, enterprise class, and meet
all of these requirements from an integrated offering.

The Technology
The founders reasoned that if PeopleSoft customers felt strong enough to invest in the technical architecture
and the integrated PeopleTools development environment delivered by PeopleSoft, why not build the solution to
support changes to the PeopleSoft applications using PeopleTools technologies?  Doing so will allow
customers to leverage their existing infrastructure and take advantage of their existing in-house technical,
development, and support knowledge.  Thus, the decision was made to commence the development of an
Application Change Management solution using PeopleTools.

The Solution
In 2005, Phire completed the initial development of Phire Architect™, a scalable, enterprise class Application
Change Management suite built using PeopleTools that enables File and PeopleTools object version control
and automates code migrations.  Because Phire Architect is built using PeopleTools, it looks and feels like any
other PeopleSoft application, facilitating support and user acceptance.  The bottom line is a cost effective
solution for your change management needs that can be deployed in few weeks versus months.
